2023 Year in Review
In 2023, we raised $40,000 thanks to your generosity. We partnered with a couple of organizations to provide support.
The first organization we supported is the Marist Brothers in Aleppo, I’m sure you all recall the devastating earthquake that hit Syria and Turkey on Feb 6th of last year, which only compounded the effects of the on-going humanitarian crisis in Syria!
"In a few hours, more than a thousand people, numbed by the cold, soaked by the rain, trembling with fear, shouting and crying, came to find shelter with the Marist Brothers." We thought it would be best if you heard directly from the Marist Brothers volunteers about how they’re helping so let’s watch this short 2-minute video.
The Blue Marist have provided assistance to thousands of displaced families through the distribution of food, hygiene products, clothes and shoes. They have distributed powder milk for newborns and children every month. They supported the medical care for the people who could not be assisted in the overcrowded hospitals and paid the rent for the people who had lost their dwelling. It’s great to see that camaraderie and see that they’re all working together to rebuild.
The second organization we’ve partnered with is Bareeq as we continue to fund the SAWA /Bareeq school that was started in
2022. Yes, it’s not a typical school that we’re all used to, but it’s the best they can do right now to provide these children with access to education. You can watch the full 3-minute video to see how the Syrian youth are making the best of what they have.
In addition to these efforts, we also donated to Drop of Milk in Damascus, who are helping many families in need.
Thank you for your generosity and continued support. You can read more about the impact in previous years on our 'Projects' page.
